Dr. Long Ba Nguyen's Opening Speech

at the 18th Anniversary of Charter 2000 Ceremony
on November 24, 2018 (7.45PM) in Toronto

Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is an honour for me today to represent the Charter 2000 Movement to deliver the Opening Speech, upon the Event of Celebrating the 18th Anniversary of Charter 2000 and Announcing the Results of the Charter 2000 Movement's 2018 Contest.

The key issue of Vietnam at the present is the actions of both the servants for Beijing in Hanoi and the Communist Party of VN in coordination with Beijing to repeat China's domination of Vietnam that took place several times in history. This time, they plan to materialize the scheme via the Chengdu Agreement which will take effect in 2020.

The murder of Tran Dai Quang - Head of State - took place in September 2018 by Nguyen Phu Trong (Secretary General of the CPV) and Beijing, clearly warned that several steps between the CPV and CPC from now to 2020 will lead Vietnam to a situation that the country of Vietnam will be lost to China, inevitably.

To save Vietnam from China's domination; ever since thousands of years ago; Vietnam's feudal dynasties applied a principle that proved effective: ELIMINATING THE SERVANTS FOR BEIJING WHO WERE READY TO SELL THE COUNTRY OF VN TO CHINA. The application of this principle was noted under the Trieu Dynasty, with Lu Gia as the Prime Minister at the time. Lu Gia mobilized soldiers to kill Cu Hau (mother of the King), Trieu Ai Vuong (the King), and the Han envoy (An Quoc Thieu Quy): all of them planned to offer Vietnam to the Han Dynasty and Vietnam would have been a part of China. A few years later, the Han Emperor appointed Lu Bo De (Lo Bac Duc) as the General Commander (called Phuc Ba Tuong Quan) to invade Vietnam. Lu Gia lost the war and Vietnam fell into China's domination. Under the Tran Dynasty and under the Tay Son Dynasty, the servants for Beijing (Tran Ich Tac and Le Chieu Thong) again invited China to invade Vietnam. But in these occasions, the servants for Beijing all miserably failed and they had to spend their life in China.

In the case of VN today, the circumstance has not been different: since 1930, Ho Chi Minh and the CPV were formed in China by the CPC, as an instrument for Beijing to interfere into the politics of VN and Indochina. From Ho Chi Minh (1930) to Nguyen Phu Trong (2018), no CPV leaders could have kept Vietnam's independence, as the dependence on China in all domains has grown from time to time. The Chengdu Agreement right after the Eastern European Revolution was a step further to push VN into the hands of China. The date of implementation of the Chengdu Agreement is near: 2020. What can we do? Nguyen Phu Trong is ready to offer VN to China, the CPV is the same. The only thing which can change the fate of the people of VN is their standing up to eliminate the servants for Beijing (Nguyen Phu Trong, Hoang Trung Hai, Tran Quoc Vuong...) and form a new free regime (with the support of Donald Trump and the free world) to escape the hands of the CPC.

To do that, the Charter 2000 Movement in celebrating the 18th Anniversary of Charter 2000 on Saturday Night November 24, 2018 opened a battle to the homeland, with the Guest Speaker: Prof. Dr. LUU NGUYEN DAT (D.C.) and the Host: Dr. NGUYEN BA LONG, aiming to push the four following movements to explode:

- The Intellectual Movement, initiated by Prof. Dr. CHU HAO, who gave up his membership with the CPV after the disciplinary actions by the CPV's Central Inspection Committee in October 2018. Right after Prof. CHU HAO leaving the CPV, at least 13 other members of the CPV followed his decision. Among them were the famous names such as Nguyen Ngoc (writer), Nguyen Thi Kim Chi (artist)...

- The People Govern Movement (Phong Trao Dan Tri), which sparked their actions against China's expansionism and passive attitudes of Chinese tourists, at Thap Ba, Nha Trang (against a young Chinese tourist) on June 10, 2018 (the day of protests all over VN against the Three Special Economic Zone Bill and the Internet Security Law).

- The Religious Movement: with the merits of such religious leaders as Bishop Michael Hoang Duc Oanh and Mr. Nguyen Van Dien - Head of the Hoa Hao Buddhism - in 2018. Bishop Michael Hoang Duc Oanh has been against the Three Special Economic Zone Bill and the Internet Security Law: he sent his letter to Tran Dai Quang - Head of the State (before his death), regarding this matter: the loss of our country to China should the above Bill and Law be passed. He also talked about the land issue of the nun Monastery at Thu Thiem (Dong Men Thanh Gia Thu Thiem). In 2017, he talked with the Vietnamese people in the U.S. regarding the environment issue of Formosa. Regarding Mr. Nguyen Van Dien - Head of the Hoa Hao Buddhism in the homeland, he has been determined to stick with the traditional Hoa Hao Buddhism of Mr. Huynh Phu So, preaching traditional prayer books and verses, and protect their believers, under the difficult situation caused by the communist authorities. Hoa Hao Buddhism has been a church with many democracy activists in the struggle for religious freedom and democracy of the country, such as Nguyen Huu Tan whose his throat was cut by security force in a police office in Vinh Long on May 3, 2017; Lawyer Nguyen Bac Truyen who got the sentence of 11 years in jail on the trial of April 5, 2018 in Hanoi; Mr. Vuong Van Tha who is being detained now. Mr. Nguyen Van Dien himself was also a prisoner with 5 times being arrested or detained by the Vietnamese communists, with the fifth time from 2005 to 2012.

- The Women and Human Rights Movement: with a star in the homeland at this time being Blogger Huynh Thuc Vy. She is going to be tried at the court in Buon Ho, Dak Lak, on November 30, 2018 as a result of applying paint to blur the Vietnamese communist red flag (with a yellow star in the centre) by herself on September 1, 2017. She was a victim of the communist suppression since she lived with her father: Huynh Ngoc Tuan - at Tam Ky, Quang Nam. The whole family members (Huynh Ngoc Tuan, Huynh Thuc Vy, Huynh Trung Hieu) were subjected to harassment and suppression; several years ago, they got an administrative penalty of millions of VN Dong before she got married and moved to Buon Ho. She is the author of her book: "Nhan Dinh Su That - Tu Do va Nhan Quyen" (Perceiving the Truth of Freedom and Human Rights in VN), published in the U.S. (by Viet Thuc, VA, 2015).
